you might notice that the last blog was full of nothing. what an icon of my life! I was in the middle of musing about our Sunday when I was called away and I didn't make it back for a
long time. But somehow it still got posted - as nothing! So silly. I can't figure out how to get
back in it to edit it or at least erase it. oh well.
Today was one of my favorite days - Jody's day off!
He helped with homeschooling this morning, as well as cleaning. He is so wonderful to do all
that he does. I praise God for Him.
We did some school, but I was busy making the favorite soup of the Waldrops -
sausage corn chowder. And I also made an apple pie.
We loved having Tony and Michelle Nord here to visit. Michelle is my cousin Annette (Carey) Guimary's daughter. Caedmon was the ring-bearer in their wedding a couple of years ago.
Michelle works at Trinity Seminary where Tony is about to start his master's program. He wants to go into full-time youth ministry. I think he likes talking with Jody about how he does things. We also really enjoy the ideas and convictions that they share.
Josh Stuber came over this morning for a bit so Karen could help Caleb's class. He and Aidyn played well. At one point she complained to me that Josh just wanted to kill her Barbies and she didn't want him too. I reminded her that boys play that way and maybe he could just kidnap her Barbies and then come back and rescue them.
Tyler came over for school to career with Jody. Wasn't a lot for him to do - we talked about the David Crowder concert and a new band named Myriad. They were good. T is struggling with school and grades. I sure pray that he doesn't give up and end up not graduating. He came back with Heather Harcrow after school and Jody helped him tune his snare. Then we played b-ball.
Yesterday we bought Naomi's first little pair of shoes...that fit! Went to Salina and found them at Payless. She's slowly learning to walk in them. She loves being outside now. Holds the football up on her shoulder and walks around.
Caedmon had a special event. Elijah was invited to go watch Transformers at Brendon Dalton's house but Caedmon wasn't so he was sad. Jody told him they could watch it here at home on the trampoline. So they got sleeping bags and blankets and Isaac joined them (and later Elijah too) and they watched the movie outside. Fun memories.
Thanks God for my family.
